Celebrating Native American culture.
What is Apache Jii Festival? Let's start with the name. "Jii" means "day" in Apache, and it's pronounced exactly like the letter "G". Just East of Globe lies the beautiful land of the San Carlos Apache Indian Reservation. Apache Jii was started as a celebration of our Apache neighbors which was open to all Native Americans.
The stores in the area agreed to hold special sales that day as a way to honor our Apache neighbors. They also brough their merchandise to us for the same. To remain in line with tradition and keep the experience authentic, all of our vendors, performers and speakers must belong to a Native American tribe.
As the Chamber and local Visitor's Center, one of the top interests of visitors and tourists is Native American history and culture in the area. This event equally aims to reach visitors and locals with the goal of bringing their culture and story to the forefront. This event brings many tribes and peoples together as we join together in celebrating the way, the history and culture of our tribal brothers and sisters.

This is a free event that is open to the public.
