Bullion Plaza Fundraiser: Tom Foster Day Jan. 18

Hired as its first Executive Director, Tom Foster spent 14 years pouring his heart and soul into developing and promoting Bullion Plaza Cultural Center & Museum in Miami. Family and friends held a candlelight vigil after his death last June, and they invite the community to both honor Tom and raise funds the cause he held dear Jan. 18 from 12:00 – 4:00 p.m. at Bullion Plaza.

“We’ll have a baked potato bar, wine tasting from Bruzzi Vineyards, the chance to sample meads from Miami’s own new Meadery on Sullivan Street,” said event organizer Bunney Kessler. “Silent auctions, too, and we need donations for those. It’s a fundraising afternoon for Bullion Plaza Cultural Center & Museum, and the plan is to hopefully do this every year! It will be a fun afternoon celebrating our wonderful friend! Tom was amazing both as a person and professionally. I miss his existence in the world as do SO many others! I’m hoping that it’s an event that can help support the building he devoted his life too!”
