About the Event

What’s new at the Gila Historical Museum?

Stopby the annual holiday mixer Friday evening Dec. 6 starting at 6:30 p.m. for drinks, light appetizers, and chance to find out! You’re welcome to wear boots and a bolo tie -- theme for the night is “A Cowboy Christmas." In just the past few weeks the museum has announced several “what’s new” items: our 2025 calendars are available for purchase, we welcomed a new board member (Linda Gross, owner/publisher of the Globe Miami Times), and launched our redesigned social media site

facebook.com/GilaHistoricalMuseum.

Please like-and-follow to see historical photos from our archives, and updates about museum events. December’s annual holiday mixer is also your chance to explore  the museum, which is on the National Register of Historic Places. The Museum is housed in the old Mine Rescue Station, and situated at 1330 North Broad Street in Globe, adjacent to the Globe-Miami Chamber of Commerce. The Gila Historical Society was founded in 1955 to study, collect, preserve, and disseminate the history of Gila County.
