About the Event

Guardians of the Galaxy Theme For National Night Out Aug. 1 , Tuesday

Bring your kiddos to pose for a selfie with Star Lord, watch for Baby Groot and Yondu – or compare hairstyles with Mantis on Tuesday evening Aug. 1 from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. outside the historic Train Depot on Broad Street during the annual National Night Out.

AZ Youth Partnership and the Copper Basin Coalition partner with law enforcement and local agencies to host this event outside the historic Train Depot on Broad Street in Globe. Exhibitors are welcome, especially people who are enthused to dress as characters from the Guardians of the Galaxy films and have booth décor – and family fun including food, games, demonstrations, free school supplies, vendors and community resource booths.

Request an application for booth space, call or text Mariyah Pizano 928.961.0394

Theme for the event? AZ Youth Partnership’s Mariyah Pizano explains: “Be a guardian of your galaxy – make good choices and be a leader in your school. Good citizenship makes for a strong galaxy – you can reach for the stars.”

This popular annual school year kick-off is a popular event for kids, students and families invited to visit a variety of information booths to receive free school supplies, books, resource information -- and prize raffles.

Vendors are welcome, especially people enthused to dress the part, and help make this a memorable event for youths who attend. Want to ask about booth space at the event? Call or text Mariyah Pizano 928.961.0394

Organizers encourage exhibitors to sign up including:

*     Local Schools: welcome your new students with tables that double as a fundraiser for your class or club. Schools may register for multiple tables to accommodate clubs or sports. Appearances by school mascots and your spirit squads will make this event even more fun.

*       Resource Providers: here’s a great opportunity to meet our community and tell local students and families about the wonderful services that you offer. Resource providers should plan ahead and bring school supplies for about 200 students from Kindergarten through High School – supplies such as pencils, pens, markers, Hi-Liters, personal tissue packs, sanitizer, notebooks, etc.

*     Local Merchants and Retail: sales at the event are not allowed, but this popular evening is a great opportunity to reach out to students and their families about your business and provide incentives  (coupons, special promotions) to recruit new customers. Also as above,  each resource provider is asked to bring some type of free school supplies for about 200 students from Kindergarten through High School. Pencils, pens, markers, Hi-Liters, personal tissue packs, sanitizer, notebooks, etc.

*      Food Trucks, snack  and Drink Vendors: provide dining options for attendees. Food vendors should provide a free item for each completed Quest Card turned in and that the cards be held for collection for the prize raffles.
