About the Event

The theme for this year’s National Night Out is Star Wars and the focus is on the importance of family literacy. Students and families will be able to visit a variety of information booths to receive school supplies, books, resource information, and other surprises. As they visit booths, they will have their Quest Card punched by the booths they visited. Filled Quest Cards can be turned in for free treats from food vendors and then used for the event prize raffles.

We are seeking the following partners to dress the part, channel the Force, and help make this a memorable event for our youth:

>     Local Schools: welcome your new students with tables that double as a fund raiser foryour class or club. Schools may register for multiple tables to accommodate clubs,sports, etc. Appearances by school mascots and your spirit squads will make this agreat event.

>      Resource Providers: this will be a great opportunity to meet with the community and tellthem about your wonderful services. We are asking that each resource provider bringschool supplies for about 200 students (K – HS). Pencils, pens, markers, highlighters,personal tissue packs, sanitizer, notebooks, etc.

>      Local Retail: while sales at the event are not allowed, this will be a great opportunity toreach out to students and their families about your business and provide incentives(coupons, special promotions, etc.) to create new customers. Additionally, we are askingthat each business bring school supplies for about 200 students (K – HS). Pencils, pens,markers, highlighters, personal tissue packs, sanitizer, notebooks, etc.

>     Food/refreshment (non-alcoholic) vendors: provide dining options for attendees.Additionally, we are asking that each food vendor provide a free item for each completedQuest Card turned in and that the cards be held for collection for the prize raffles.

There will be a prize for best table decorated in our Star Wars theme!
