Globe-Miami Chamber of Commerce hosts a month-long celebration of wildflowers during April; the Arizona Poppy Fest begins with self-guided hikes of Round Mountain Park, which can sport dozens of flowering plants such as delphinium, penstemon, daisies, false garlic, wallflower, owl's clover and more when spring rains have been generous. Set your GPS for 1699 East South Street in Globe -- and after your hike, head over to 401 South Broad Street downtown for a FREE pancake breakfast hosted by the First Christian Church.
