About the Event

Gila County Public Works has scheduled two public meetings this month to inform residents about the County’s Telegraph Fire Flood Mitigation Projects – ongoing mitigation following the 2021 Telegraph Fire, which burned more than 180,000 acres last year, resulting in floods once the summer rains began. The meetings will discuss plans, specifications, and estimated costs for the projects.  A short PowerPoint presentation will be followed by the opportunity for property owners, local residents and members of the public who are potentially impacted by construction to meet one-to-one and speak with county engineering staff, other county officials,  and JE Fuller representatives to discuss project specifics and ask questions. Both meetings will be held in the Board of Supervisors conference room on the west side of the Gila County courthouse at 1400 East Ash Street, on these dates and topics:

* June 29 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. This meeting will cover Six Shooter Canyon channel stabilization project improvements and the Ice House Canyon Project

* June 30 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.  This meeting will cover the Russell Gulch channel improvement project
