Built in 1910 and famous as the 'Tallest Three Story Building in the World,' the historic Globe Elks building also once housed the Jones Mortuary-Funeral Home --- and is quickly becoming a destination on the paranormal investigation circuit. Upper floors were used by the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, while the downstairs/basement area was used by two separate mortuary/funeral businesses where bodies were prepared, and services were held -- in fact, the old embalming table is still in the basement!
