Globe Downtown Association's annual Halloween block party on Broad Street is THE place to rock your costume -- check out the creatively dressed and disguised revelers there were last year, with this gallery of more than 100 Halloweeners, courtesy of the Globe-Miami Times: https://www.facebook.com/media/set?vanity=globemiamitimes&set=a.841960961269948 Thousands of costumed kiddos and parading parents gather in historic downtown for this event. The Trick-or-Treat portion of the evening runs from about 5:30-7pm, or until each candy station or trunk-or-treat team runs out. Don't miss food trucks on Oak Street, music by DJs in various spots -- and if 2023 activities repeat again for this year's event: also a car show, family trunk-or-treat stations, Broad Street and sidewalk chalking, and storefront candy stations, with a decorations contest decided by people's-choice voting. For added fun, the 1910 territorial jail will be open, and free, as a kid-friendly ‘spooky jail’ for round-the-cell block simple tank-walks. Use the #GlobeAZHalloweenSpecial to enter a separate social media pumpkin carving and costume contest, too!
